Challenge #62 - LOVE IS IN THE AIR....

Hi Lovely Pinkies

Hope you're all keeping warm on these chilly days - they are a good excuse to stay indoors and craft, aren't they?

Today's fabulous challenge is perfect for the time of year as Valentines Day is drawing closer...  the theme is:

LOVE IS IN THE AIR
(in pink of course)

We'd love to see what you come up with for this one.... all we require is a little romance.... it could be hearts... it could be for a wedding...  as long as it has a little 'love'.. we'll leave the interpretation to you!  But don't forget our main requirement is that YOU MUST USE MORE PINK THAN ANY OTHER COLOUR on your creation (with the exception of white of course!)

Here's what The Pink Ladies have come up with to inspire you...

(Rebecca is on a break this time - hurry back, we're missing you!)

(more details about each card if you click on the name)

Don't you just love what the Pink Ladies have created to inspire??

Our lovely and very generous sponsor this time is Live and Love Crafts (specialists in wonderful shabby chic craft supplies) - who are kindly donating a £10 gift voucher to be spent at their store..   so if your creation is lucky enough to be chosen as one of our Perfect Pinkies, your name will be put into a hat with the others and one will be drawn at random to received this fabulous prize!

CHALLENGE #61 - PINK AND PEARLIE

Hi Lovely Pinkies...

Hope you're all well and enjoying your PINK colouring now we're well into 2015!  Here in the UK we have snow!

It's time for a wonderful new challenge here at In The Pink - this time our theme is:

PINK AND PEARLIE

We'd love to see what you come up with for this challenge..  it's one we've done before but that is always popular with our followers.  We'd like to see LOTS OF PINK of course - and something pearlie.... get the picture??

Don't forget our main requirement is that you use MORE PINK THAN ANY OTHER COLOUR on your creation (with the exception of white of course).

Here's what the lovely Pink Ladies have come up with to inspire...

Now.... we have news!  Unfortunately our lovely Cibele has had to step down from The Pink Ladies - we'll miss you lots Cibele and thank you so much for what you did for us.  However, it left us with a pink satin jacket available...  so, rather than just coming up with one new Pink Lady - we chose TWO!! (We'll have to share the jackets!)  So let us introduce Debs and Viv and their cards below...

Debs

Here's a bit about Debs:

Hi, I’m Debbie, Mum to 3 boys Jamie, Aaron  & Jack and Grandma to Oliver, Lola and Ruby.

I never considered myself to be very artistic and then I discovered scrapbooking about 7-8 years ago when I stopped smoking and wanted something to do in the evenings.  I saw a craft programme on TV, ordered the kit, bought a few more things, stored them in 3 stacking boxes, crafted at the kitchen table, bought more stash, discovered stamping and card making (quicker end result than scrapbooking) moved into the dining room, acquired a set of craft drawers, bought even more stash and now have my own little crafty haven full to bursting but very loved and visited practically every day.

I have had my blog nearly 6 years now and I am lucky enough to be on some wonderful Design Teams.  I have also recently been lucky enough to start designing for Papercraft Inspirations – a crafter’s dream come true.  I am truly blessed to have made a number of wonderful friends through crafting and blogging and hope it continues

And now

And a bit about Viv:

Hi friends of In The Pink.
I'm a mum to 4 amazing boys (men) and grandmother to 6 grandsons (eldest is 23 and youngest will be here in 6 weeks) and two grand daughters.  I'm way too young really! LOL!

I've been an avid card-maker for more years than I care to remember.  My preferred medium is Copic markers, although I do like to use distress inks now and again.  I'm delighted to be part of Rizzo's fabulous team and look forward to seeing all your fabulous creations.

I think we're going to enjoy having these two very talented ladies on our team don't you think?  FABULOUS debut cards ladies!

And our last bit of EXCITING news...  This time we have a wonderful sponsor!!
If you creation is lucky enough to be chosen as one of our Perfect Pinkies - your name will be put into a hat with the other PP's and one will be drawn to receive this fabulous prize generously donated by The Ribbon Girl..  Exciting or WHAT!  The Ribbon Girl sell some WONDERFUL products...  so many lush ribbons and trimmings to add to our PINK creations!

And we'll also be choosing a new Guest Designer too from our Pink and Pearlie Entries...  so with all these wonderful things going on....  go get out your PINK pens and PINK papers and get creating!!

Don't forget you can share your creations on our Facebook page too...

Challenge #60 - Anything Goes - PERFECT PINKIES!

Hi Pinkies

Well WOWWWWWWW - we were truly overwhelmed by the fabulous entries for our Anything Goes challenge!  How wonderful to see so many wonderful PINK creations - but it has made our job very difficult as you can imagine... trying to narrow down our Perfect Pinkie choice!  As far as we're concerned you're all winners just by sharing and letting us see your cards and projects using pink..

BUT.... we had to get our Pink thinking caps on...  and CHOOSE!  We look at and consider each and every card that is entered and each of us decide on one that has really taken our eye..  which I think makes our challenge special...  it's not done randomly!

Sooo here's what we came up with for our Perfect Pinkies this time:
(in no particular order of course..)

Can you see that we chose a couple of extra Perfect Pinkies this time?  Hope you like them - we just couldn't resist choosing extra as there were so many wonderful entries!  If you want more details of these cards, click on the name above each and you'll be taken straight to the blog that has the details.

Here's your Perfect Pinkie badge ladies.. hope you'll wear it on your sidebar to help spread the pink love...

Watch out for an exciting new challenge later today - and fabulous news too!

Challenge #59 - CHRISTMAS (In Pink of course)...

Hi Pinkies

Are you all getting nearly ready for Christmas??  It's getting so close and here at the Pink Palace, we have all the pink decorations up... there is lots of bling and glitter - in fact the Palace can barely be seen for all the fabulous sparkly stuff!  And we have a mahoosive PINK Christmas tree!!

So with all that in mind, today's challenge is:

CHRISTMAS
(pink of course...)

So that's got to be easy for you, hasn't it??  Hope so!  Don't forget to use MORE PINK THAN ANY OTHER COLOUR - our number one rule!

Here's what the Design Team have come up with to inspire you...

(details of these cards can by found by clicking on the name above each)

Now, onto some fabulous exciting news!!  We have a lovely new Pink Lady who has joined us... if you are here often, you'll see this lady's creations quite regularly amongst our entries so she is very definitely a pink lover! Let me introduce to you Vannessa Hasty from Saffire's Stamping - here's her fabulous card - you'll love it!

Vannessa

I know you'll give Vannessa a huge Pink welcome - here's a bit about her..

I'm Vannessa, will be hitting the big 4-0 next year and am a primary school teacher by day, currently teaching a lively class of 7-8 year olds. I live in Peterborough in the UK with my boyfriend of 18 years and our very spoilt kitty, Tallulah. We don't have any children - 30 a day at work is enough for me!  I have been card making for about 8 years now and it started as something to do to fill the long summer holidays with. I began with a cheap set from eBay and it grew from there. I now have a huge amount of crafting goodies, but there's always room for more I say! I love layers on my cards and very rarely do you find one without some ribbon. I think I have enough ribbon to start my own shop - just love it.  In the Pink is just the perfect challenge blog for me. I love pink! I wear lots of pink, my bedroom is pink, my classroom has lots of pink bits all over it too! I am so excited to be one of the Pink Ladies! Thank you to Christine for asking me to join the team!

And now........  even more wonderful excitement!  Our Guest Designer for this month is the lovely Kate from Downright Crafty - and here's her card...

Kate

How fabulous is this??  And here's a bit about Kate too..

Hi my name is Kate,

I have been crafting all of my life in one way or another and was introduced to the land of blog by a very good crafting friend.  A little timid at first it did not take me long to find my feet and to start entering all the fabulous challenges.  I found copics three years ago and have never looked back, a year ago,  I attended my Copic Certification Class to become a Copic Certified Designer.  I have been published several times in the Mad 4 Markers Copicendium and occasionally published for Papercraft Essentials promoting Wild Rose Studio images.

Sooo... let's see what you can do for our Christmas challenge...  but again, don't forget, use MORE PINK than any other colour (with the exception always of white!)  HAVE FUN.. we did!

You have a whole four weeks to enter this challenge as we're taking a little break over the festive period..  we'll be putting our feet up on our pink pouffe's...  sitting around enjoying some Pink Champagne to celebrate.. and generally enjoying ourselves!

Now all this is left is for us to wish ALL of our lovely Pinky followers a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS and wish you all the very best for a fabulous 2015!

Big Hugs
