Challenge #10 - Pink and Pearlie!

Hi Pinkies

Here at Pinkie Palace we have a fabulous new challenge for you today... this time our theme is 'Pink and Pearlie' - and we'd love to see - like the title says - entries using lots of pinks and pearls!!  Don't forget, your entry doesn't have to be a card... it can be anything.

Here's what we've come up with if you need any inspiration:

And now we'd thrilled to introduce our fabulous new Guest Designer for the next two challenges.. it's Nic... perhaps better known as Coops from Coops' Cluttered Corner - who we're delighted to say has agreed to join us as GDT.  We're sure you'll agree, her work is absolutely stunning so we're really lucky to have her on board!

"Hi, I am Nic or better known in blogland as Coops.  I am a married mum of 1 and I have been crafting about 7 years now. I first started card making when I had been made redundant from my then job and needed something to occupy my mind. I was soon hooked and I still love it as much now as i did then. I love to craft at night mainly as it helps me to wind down and I love to sit and colour an image to life. I find the  whole process of putting a card together really relaxing.

I would like to thank Christine and Sylvia for asking me to join them for a couple of challenges, it is a real honour."

So Pinkies... let's see you get our your pink pens and card... and your pearls... we're looking forward to lots of gorgeous entries.  This challenge is open for four weeks until 9 January... so we can have a little rest over Christmas..

And talking of Christmas.... Sylvia and I would like to wish all our followers and entrants a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.... and to THANK YOU ALL for taking part and showing your support for our new challenge blog...  we've really enjoyed creating a special place for lovers of the colour pink!!

Big Hugs
Christine and Sylvia xx

Don't forget to use lots of pink and pearls on your entry..

Midway reminder...

Good Morning to all you lovely Pink Ladies...

Just a quick reminder today that we're midway through our 'Keep it Clean and Simple - Use Loads of Pink Space' challenge.........  and for some reason this one has proved a bit of a hard one for you as we've had less than the expected entries so far..  (Sylvia and I have been twiddling our pink thumbs waiting...)  And some of the entries we've had have also seemingly misunderstood the need for PINK space too...   sad, but true....

So come on all you Pinkies out there.......  we have 250 followers now....  where are you all?????  Show us your pink in all shapes and forms.... but just make sure you give us lots of pink space with your Clean and Simple creation!!

PINK RULES.... OK???  now GO PINKIES....... GO!!

Big hugs

Now....  onto our new challenge..  This time, our theme is Keep it Clean and Simple...  (CAS).... and we would like to see lots of  PINK SPACE on your card...  and few (if any at all) embellies.  We've come up with a few ideas to help with inspiration...   and you'll find more details of all these cards on our blogs if you click on the names above each card.

and our fabulous Guest Designer - Denise

This is Denise's 2nd Guest Designer card - so next time we'll have a new temporary member of our team... and it could be you!!  Thank you so much Denise for joining us.... your cards have been stunning and we've been really pleased to have you on board for a short time!

Don't forget to make sure there is a LOT OF PINK SPACE on your creations and  keep the embellies to an absolute minimum....  We can't wait to see what you come up with........  so, grab your pink card and pens, and get IN THE PINK zone!!

Big hugs to all our pinkie followers..

Buttons and Bows - Challenge #6

Hi Pinkies

For our new pink challenge, we'd like you to use, as the title suggests...  Buttons and Bows!  Don't forget to use as much pink as possible on your cards or other creations.... the more you use, the happier we are!  We'd like to see more pink than any other colour  so that here at Pink Palace we're awash with all the fabulous shades of this luscious colour!  Come on girls.... rise to the challenge!  We had a massive 110 entries last time...  can we do better that do you think????  We're really thrilled how much people have taken to our challenge... from all over the world... it's so exciting to see and make friends with all these people who LOVE pink!!

Here are the cards that Sylvia and I have come up with using Buttons and Bows..... for more details click on our names to go straight to our blogs.

And  now we'd like to introduce our new Guest Designer - Denise G - here is her beautiful card -

Here are a few words from Denise about herself:
I have always been a crafty sort of girl for as long as I can remember. I started very young when my Grandmother taught me to knit and then went onto crochet, tapestry, embroidery and cross stitch. It was my daughter who got me into papercrafting when she and a friend decided to do a craft fair and were short of cards - so I got roped in and have not looked back since!!!  I feel so honoured  to Guest Design for In The Pink and thank Christine and Sylvia for asking me. I really hope you will join the fun this week and I can't wait to see your beautiful PINK creations.

A big thank you to Denise for agreeing to join our little team for the next two challenges.  You'll find her blog HERE.  Don't forget... next time, this could be you!  We choose a new Guest Designer every two challenges...  this way we can keep new ideas and new ways to use this fabulous colour flowing!

Now......  you don't have to use BOTH buttons AND bows.... we will be more than happy to see EITHER buttons, OR bows.....  but if you fancy using BOTH like we've done...  by all means do so!!  We can't wait to see your entries!!

So...  dig out those pink pens, ribbons, buttons and papers....and get In The Pink zone!!

Big hugs
Christine and Sylvia

Thursday 4 October 2012

This time the challenge is...PINK PLUS ONE!!

Hi Pinkies

Today our challenge is as the title shows.... 'Pink Plus One' - and we would like you to use plenty of Pink (as always).......  PLUS one other colour of your choice!

Now I have to admit that both Sylvia and I scratched our heads over this one.....  so we've decided to relax the rules slightly and allow neutral shades such as white, cream or kraft for the base card.....  and also for shading around an image.   And yes.... we'd also call skin tones relatively neutral too!!

Here's what we came up with:

and from our current Guest Designer Becky

More details of all our creations can be found on our blogs... click on our names above each card.

We've tried to come up with very different types and styles....  but it has been quite difficult to stick to just Pink Plus One......  so don't forget, although we're relaxing slightly on this one......  we'd still like you to try to stick to the guidelines above.  Sadly, we've been receiving entries in previous challenges that haven't adhered to our guidelines... and as our Pinkies know, we're ALL ABOUT PINK here at Pink Palace.....  so the more pink you can use, the better!!  The MAJORITY of your card should be PINK -  plus ONE other colour this time.  Now that's the serious bit over - let's make it fun!!

We'd like to say a massive thank you to Becky for being our Guest Designer for the past two challenges - her creations are absolutely stunning.....  and her water colouring is just perfect.  Please pop over to her blog HERE to see more of her fantastic work.

OK girls........  get out your pink pens........ PLUS one other colour.....  and let's see what you come up with!!  We really look forward to seeing your entries.... and hope we haven't put you off with this one...  so Pinkies everywhere.....  let's see you rise to the challenge!! hehe!

Big hugs from the Pinkie Palace
