Hi Pinkies
Here we are in this chilly weather with a new challenge for you... as it says in the title.... we would like to see your cards using Distressing. This can be any way of distressing... either using Distress Inks to colour.... or distressing around the edge with inks... or sanding your card...... or giving a distressed look to your card by the use of a distressing tool.. There are probably lots more ways you can experiment with... we love to see the fabulous projects you come up with!
Here's what we've come up with to inspire... all in different pinks... hope you like! If you click on the names above the cards, it will take you straight to our blogs where you can find details of what we've used.
Now we'd like to welcome on board and show a card from Amelia (Stamped for the Occasion) who is our new Guest Designer for the next two challenges! We think you'll agree... Amelia's creations are stunning...
Here is a little bit about Amelia who is from Pretoria, South Africa:
I am so delighted to be guest designer for In the Pink
Challenge blog – it is such an honour. I am a librarian at a large residential university
in South Africa
but when I am at home I keep myself busy with card making – I love creating,
and stamping is my passion. I have been stamping for about 10 years now but
started my own blog and entered challenges since February 2010. I have a
variety of stamps and I am also passionate about creating
with die cuts and vintage scraps. My
favourite colouring technique is watercolour pencils and I love to add detail
to my cards especially flowers and lace. My style has developed over time seeing all the beautiful cards from so
many talented card makers and I would describe my style as a mixture of shabby,
vintage and cute elements. My biggest dream is to turn my love for crafting
into my job! Thank you Christine and Sylvia for
asking me to join you as an In the Pink guest designer.
Hope we've given you some inspiration to get distressing... There are lots of YouTube tutorials online too if you want to learn more about it. Remember, the challenge runs for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to get your entries to us.
Thank you all once again for sharing your pink passion with us here at Pinkie Palace.. it's always wonderful to look at your entries... so many different styles, so many different shades of pink.... and so many ways of using our theme!
Big pinkie hugs to all our fab followers..
Christine and Sylvia xx
